Hi Jerry,
No jokes today as there is nothing to be funny about.
I'm writing to inform you of a really bad experience
we had with an online casino. I recommend that you
stay right away from this one.
They ordered advertising from Gonegambling earlier
this year and after we completed a successful
promotion for them they bounced a cheque (check) for
$1,000 on us.
We thought it may have just been a bank error as the
cheque had taken several months to clear but it
finally bounced and all efforts to recover the $1,000
from the casino have failed.
If they won't pay Gonegambling for a successful
promotion what hope do you as a player have? My guess
is none at all.
The casino is GoWin Casino and this is how they first
contacted us:

On receiving the above email I wrote back and we
eventually did a promotion for the casino. I won't
bore you with details of emails back and forth except
to put things in point form below:
#1. When the cheque bounced I sent a couple of nice
emails to the Marketing Manager of GoWin Casino and
asked him what the problem was and could he now tell
me how payment would be made. I received no response.
#2. I eventually had to write a harsher email and warn
of the consequences of not paying - in that I'd warn
all Gonegambling members not to deal with GoWin
Casino. The response was that it was a holiday over
there and they would check with the bank after the
holiday. I was also told that they don't like threats.
Imagine that Jerry? They bounce a cheque on me for
$1,000. They then don't respond to my nice emails. And
when I finally warn them of the consequences of my
telling Gonegambling members what they have done, they
tell me they don't like threats!
#3. Further emails from me to the Marketing Manager at
his personal email address and copied to the casino at
support@gowincasino.com went unanswered.
#4. I asked the Internet Gaming Commission (IGC)
http://www.internetcommission.com to contact GoWin
Casino as GoWin is one of their members. I received a
prompt response from the IGC although it was
disappointing.
Because it was not a problem that a gambler was having
with the casino they said it was not in their charter
to get involved. I understood that, but I thought it
would be in the interests of all members of the
Internet Gaming Commission to send GoWin a quiet email
and nip this problem in the bud. After all, the last
thing the gaming industry wants is more bad publicity
about online casinos.
I promote casinos for a living Jerry, and believe
me, I know that the last thing the industry needs is
more bad publicity. And going public with this problem
is not doing me any favors... What casino is going to
want to deal with me knowing I've publicly condemned
one of their sister casinos? No, I don't need the
$1,000 that badly and in truth I would personally be
much better off just forgetting about it and keeping
quiet. But that is not my way and this story needs to
be told. You need to be warned about this casino.
#5. As I'm always preaching to Gonegambling members to
have patience and give online casinos time to respond,
I gave GoWin Casino another opportunity to rectify
this problem before I went public. I asked Bryan from
Casinomeister http://www.casinomeister.com and Jim
from the Off Shore Gaming Association
http://www.osga.com to write to GoWin Casino on my
behalf.
Both were quick to respond and both wrote to GoWin
Casino warning the casino that non payment would
result in the Casino being listed in their "bad
casino" sections.
A week went by with absolutely no response from GoWin
Casino at all.
By this time I was starting to work out that they
really didn't care and they had no intention of paying
the $1,000 they owed. In fact they would rather be
listed on several sites as a "bad casino" than pay for
the promotion they received.
Without prompting from me, and after about 10 days had
passed both Bryan and Jim emailed GoWin Casino again.
Guess what Jerry? Still no response!
Can you imagine the contempt that the Management of
GoWin Casino has for gamblers? They won't pay for
advertising with Gonegambling and they don't even care
if I email all 6,616 members and tell them about it!
Added to that they don't even think it's worth
responding to Casinomeister and the OSGA when they are
told they will be listed as a "bad casino"!
If all of the above won't get them to pay for services
that they ordered, what hope does a lonely gambler
have fighting for a payout from them?
So here's the plan Jerry. I rarely ask you for
anything and all I ever try to do is entertain you and
give you some great deals. But this time I need your
help.
I need you to email GoWin Casino and tell them that
you know they bounced a cheque on Gonegambling and
that you will never open an account with them if they
don't rectify this problem. Demand an answer from
them. Also let them know that you will warn all your
friends about them too.
And because you have taken the time to email them
about a problem, and because you have demanded an
answer, email them again in 24 hours if they have not
responded. It's time some of these casinos on the Net
learnt that they can't hide behind not answering
emails.
If you've ever been wild about not getting a response
from a casino to one of your emails then this is your
big chance to get even. Direct all your venom at GoWin
Casino and teach them something about responding to
emails and customer service. I really need the help of
every single Gonegambling member here. Let's let the
casino know that we are organized and that we do
matter.
I don't want you to do this for me Jerry. I want
you to do it for you if you want to gamble on the Net
at responsible and trustworthy casinos.
And just to prove that I'm really thinking of you here
and not myself, here's what I'll do if your actions
result in GoWin seeing the error of their ways and
paying Gonegambling the $1,000 they owe.
"... I'll donate the whole $1,000 to a charity. In
fact I'll even let Gonegambling members vote on which
charity the $1,000 should go to. I can't be any fairer
than that now can I? ..."

And copy the email to the Marketing Manager of GoWin
Casino at:

Please also copy your email to Gonegambling at:

I need you to copy your email to me so I know just how
much you do care about the efforts we make on your
behalf at Gonegambling. A poor response will tell me
that going out on a limb for you guys just isn't
appreciated. A good response will let GoWin Casino
know that they shouldn't underestimate the Internet
gambler and how responsive they can be to bad
publicity.
In fact word will get out and let all borderline
casinos know that they have to pick up their acts.
Other things you can do to spread the word is forward
this email to a few of your gambling friends. Also
leave messages on gambling message boards and in
gambling forums. Post a message in a forum and then
email the casino and tell them where your posting is.
Make them act and make them respond. In short we
should all make them responsible.
A promise to pay for advertising is no different to a
promise to pay a slots jackpot - think about it. If
they won't pay one why should they pay the other?
I thank each and every Gonegambling member for taking
the time to read this special warning email about
GoWin Casino.
Regards,
John Abbott
Manager

PS This is very important. Please don't mistake GoWin
Casino for GoTo Casino. GoTo Casino has nothing to do
with GoWin Casino and GoTo Casino is a long and valued
sponsor of Gonegambling.
